Aiguille du Midi south face - Thursday 8th July

The good weather continued so again we went up high this time to climb the Rebuffat route on the South Face of the Aiguille du Midi. We had climbed the lower pitches a few years ago but got chased off by a storm so it was a great opportunity to get back and climb the whole route and the climbing felt easier this time too!

Eperon de Cosmiques - Friday 2nd July

After some cragging days at Les Cheserys we went back up to the Aiguille du Midi to climb on the Eperon de Cosmiques - lovely climbing on sunny granite with spectacular views over the Vallee Blanche.

Cosmiques Arete - Monday 28th June

An acclimatisation trip up the Cosmiques Arete. It was a beautiful day with excellent snow conditions on the ridge and very few other people about. Just perfect!

Back home after summer in the Alps

In June I set off with Ron and his camping car, the Talisman Basecamp, for the Alps. We started in Chamonix then drove to The Ecrins National Park for sunny Ailefroide then back to Chamonix with some climbing along the way at the Col du Lauteret and La Grave.
There are so many photos so I'll add them in a few at a time. In the meantime, one here of the view from Les Cheserys on our first day in the Chamonix valley.
